About Us

Hi! I'm Stephanie Childress, owner and board creator behind Savory Spreads Catering. I am a wife, mother of 2 boys, and a full-time nurse practitioner. I love to host, cater meals, decorate, and really anything festive. For over 15 years I have had a giant love for culinary arts. It all started in a small apartment in Kingsport, TN when I was 22 years old. My (older) nursing buddy, Deborah Chapman, took me under her wing and taught me all the tricks of the trade. From lemon pepper chicken to pesto pasta and everything in between I learned the basics of cooking and it only grew from there. Over the next 10 years, I started to gain confidence in the kitchen. The last 4 years, and when charcuterie became a "thing", I became nothing less than OBSESSED. After creating several boards and spreads, I became more confident and decided to offer my service to others. And I'm so glad I did. Being a part of your special occasion brings me so much joy. I can't wait to celebrate with you!
